Banner : RR Movie Makers
Film : Damarukam
Cast : Nagarjuna, Anushka, Prakash Raj, Bramhanandam, etc.
Music : Devi Sri Prasad
Producer : Venkat
Screenplay-Direction : Srinivas Reddy
Story : Mallikarjuna (Nagarjuna) is an auto driver and he falls in love with a girl (Anushka Shetty), who has supernatural powers. Meanwhile, a villain (Ravi Shankar) enters the scene. He has supernatural powers and he wants to control the panchabhutas - earth, sky, air, fire and water. He tries to kill Mallikarjuna's lady love. How is this entire concept linked to Lord Shiva and Kaialsam? How does a common man fight against super-powered evils? Srinivasa Reddy answers these questions with his brilliant graphics work on screens.
Analysis : Srinivas Reddy did an amazing job as a director. Each and every scene and character's entry was plotted very well. Screenplay literally drives you into picture. The director definitely thought out of the box and was reflected on big screen. Cinematography by Chota K Naidu was outstanding. Devi Sri Prasad did his job perfectly as each and every song made audience whistle and enjoy thoroughly. While Sakkubai Garam Chai appealed the mass audience, some songs such as Shiva Shiva Shankara, Bhoonabhontaalake songs brought goose bumps. There were also melodious songs such as Nesthama and Lali Lani, which were soothing. The background score was also too good.
Performances : Nagarjuna gave his best. He even looked good on screen with six pack body and all. Anushka looked gorgeous in the role of Maheswari, she done justice to his role. Prakash Raj who played the role of Lord Shiva done well. Ravi Shankar played the role of Andhakasura. His body language, diction, acting everything suited to perfection. Brahmanandam, MS Narayana, Raghu Babu is good.
Cinematography : Good.
Screenplay : Okay
Music : Devi sri prasad is an asset to the movie, BGM score is also very good.
Direction : Good.
Finally Says : Damarukam is a best treat for this weekend. Must Watch it! whether you are a fan of Nagarjuna or not.
